At Futureaquarium.com, we pride ourselves on having one of the best return policies in the industry. Cancel your order anytime before it ships, completely free of charge (exceptions apply, such as custom orders—see below for details).

Cancellations (Before Order Ships)
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible so we can refund you in full before your order leaves the warehouse. Reach our agents during business hours at (833) 452-4697, via the chat in the bottom right, or email support@futureaquarium.com anytime.
Cancellations of Custom Orders
Custom or made-to-order products cannot be canceled or refunded as these products are specifically made for your order. Once you place your order, production begins. Your warranty will ensure you receive a fully functional and operational product. If you're unsure whether your order is custom, please contact us.
All sales are final for custom-made and made-to-order products.
Refunds and Returns
If you need to exchange your product, you may do so, but the customer is responsible for all shipping costs related to returns and exchanges.
Not all orders are available for return once they have shipped. Since we work directly with manufacturers, if they do not permit a return, we cannot offer one. This varies by brand and product, so please contact us for specific information.
Due to increasing freight shipping costs, outright returns will incur a 25% cancellation fee plus return shipping costs. If you're replacing the product with something else, we may help cover some of the costs depending on the product.
Customers have 30 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return, but please check the brand-specific return policy on the product page, as it may override our general return policy.
Shipping Times
We strive to get your order to you as quickly as possible. We provide estimated shipping times based on supplier and freight information, but these times may change without notice due to supply chain issues or other factors beyond our control.

When purchasing from Futureaquarium.com, you acknowledge the following terms of the Exchange Agreement:
- I understand I must inspect the package upon delivery, noting and photographing any damage and reporting it to Futureaquarium.com within 24 hours.
- I am responsible for return shipping costs and any new product shipping fees in the event of a refund or exchange.
- Products must be returned unopened and unused, and an additional restocking fee may apply.
- If my order has left the warehouse, I am unable to receive a full refund.
- If I return my order after it has shipped, I will be responsible for return shipping fees and a restocking fee, usually around 20%.
- I understand that shipping dates provided are estimates and may change due to factors beyond the control of Futureaquarium.com.
- I agree not to cancel my order or file a chargeback due to an estimated shipping delay outside the control of Futureaquarium.com.
Damages
Please inspect your item(s) upon delivery. If any damage is noted, make sure to document it during the delivery process. If your item(s) arrived damaged, send photos of the damage, box, and SKU, along with a brief description, to support@futureaquarium.com. Freight damage claims must be reported within 24 hours of arrival, or they may not be valid.
Warranty
Warranties vary by manufacturer—please refer to individual product pages for details. Damages caused by use over time are not covered by warranty. If an item arrives damaged and is not reported within 30 days, it will not be eligible for a warranty claim.
Returns
Customers are responsible for return shipping charges unless otherwise stated on the product page. Most of our products are backed by guarantee warranty policies, meaning you'll receive a fully functional product as described.
BOGO Promotions
In the event of a Buy One Get One (BOGO) promotion, both items must be returned for a full refund. If only one item is returned, you will receive store credit or a replacement. Return shipping charges apply, and a restocking fee may be incurred based on the manufacturer.
Chargebacks
Our customer service team is always here to resolve any issues you may have. We strive to be fair and transparent in our policies. Filing a fraudulent chargeback may result in legal consequences. Please contact us first to resolve any disputes or concerns, and we'll do everything we can to help.
